What Brings Me to This Space?

In my head, I consider myself a problem solver. Why, you might ask? Because I’ve had a lot of problems in my life—lol.

Somewhere along this journey, you’ll probably read about some of the shenanigans I’ve managed to get myself into by thinking, overthinking, and sometimes not thinking at all. Many of them were by choice, I might add, for full transparency. And yes, at times you’ll probably read something and think, “WTF, sis?” LOL. Don’t worry, I’ve already asked myself that same question more than once.

The truth is, I can sit here and write these words with calm reflection today, but it took a lot of self-awareness, growth, and some very uncomfortable (and sometimes annoying) feedback from my “OPS” to recognize and own the parts I played in many of the challenges I’ve faced in life.

Of course, there were circumstances I was born into and things outside of my control that shaped my path. But if you’ve lived long enough in this world, you know life, and people, will test you in a thousand different ways.

And if you’re here reading this, I’m guessing you’ve survived a few of those tests yourself. So welcome, you’re in familiar company.

What keeps me here is simple: reflection, growth, and the ongoing process of becoming better than I was yesterday. This space is part accountability, part expression, and part healing. It’s where I turn experience into understanding, and hopefully, something useful for someone else walking their own path.

Thanks, Ms. G.
