Hi all. A friend of mine recently shared a visual about “Jobs That Hire Convicted Felons” on Facebook, and I almost reshared it as-is. But before doing that, I decided to take a few extra minutes to look a little deeper.
After a quick search, I found additional resources, articles, and lists of companies that may be open to hiring individuals with a record. That exploration is what led me to put this post together and organize everything in one place.
My hope is simple: that this can serve as a starting point for anyone who has been previously incarcerated and is working toward rebuilding their life. Finding stable, honest employment after incarceration is not always easy, and in many cases it can feel discouraging or overwhelming. However, it is also one of the most important steps in moving forward.
Employment creates stability. It supports independence, helps people take care of themselves and their families, and provides an opportunity to build consistency and structure in a new chapter of life. Most importantly, it gives people a chance to be seen for who they are now, not only for their past.
I want to be clear that this is simply a resource list. I cannot personally vouch for each company or organization included, and each one may have its own specific hiring requirements, background check policies, or eligibility criteria. Some opportunities may vary depending on location, experience, or role availability.
I also do not claim ownership of any of the information shared here. It has been gathered from publicly available sources and compiled in one place purely for convenience and accessibility.
This post is about access and awareness. Sometimes, the hardest part of starting over is simply knowing where to begin or where to look. Having information in one place can make that first step feel a little more manageable.
I will continue to update this list whenever I come across additional companies, programs, or organizations that support individuals with past convictions, whether through employment opportunities, reentry programs, or other forms of assistance.
If this helps even one person take a step forward, find a lead, or feel a little more hopeful about what comes next, then it is worth continuing to build and share.
Thanks, and One Love, Ms. G.
